The 2025 Heyward Family Association’s annual reunion will take place on Saturday, May 3 at Chelsea Plantation, on 1000 Chelsea Plantation Road, Ridgeland, SC 29936.
Family members should come around 11:00 am and bring:
A dish for the community tables such as a meat, a salad, a vegetable, your specialty or whatever strikes your fancy;
your libation of choice;
Appropriate clothing & weather gear (don’t forget a hat for shade)
Beware of alligators and bring bug spray
Bring any Heyward item of interest or for sale

The HFA encourages members to bring a Heyward item of interest to share (or sell if interested).
The HFA will be collecting $30 dues/family at the reunion.
There will be a special event following the reunion. It will be a Rededication Ceremony and Reception for the Tomb of Thomas Heyward, Jr. This important event, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, will take place at 3:30 pm at Old House Plantation in Ridgeland, SC, just a few miles from the Chelsea Plantation.
