About

Organized ca 1937, the Heyward Family Association formalized generations of family gatherings.  The HFA is a group of cousins, descended from Daniel Heyward who died in Charles Towne (now Charleston, SC, USA) in 1684.

Heyward cousins have been meeting annually in SC for over 75 years, usually at one of the numerous plantations once belonging to members of the Heyward family. Hosting our annual reunion is the Association’s primary function.

Also on this website, you will find information about historical and notable Heywards as well as other matters of interest and importance to Heyward cousins; you can access our Heyward family tree software; you can reply to member’s posts; you can view family photos and videos.
